Seasonal/Global Underscore

[5/13/22 update] COVID cases continue to go up after a low on 3/20/22. Daily cases (7-day average) in Hampshire County are up 6 times what they were on 3/20/22. ICU bed use in MA for COVID has more than doubled in the last 2 weeks. Variants BA.2 and Deltacron have arrived and will result in more increases. These agreements are to keep us safe. Please read them. Contact me with any questions/concerns.

  1. Be Vaccinated and Boosted. (Contact me if you are not, to see what is possible.)
  2. Get Tested (Testing sites & info) or Wear Mask. Send photo of test to me.
    • Testing: either PCR test in 72 hours before the event or Rapid test on same day.
  3. Do not attend, if you have any symptoms, particularly: fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of smell, congestion, sore throat, sneezing, vomiting, diarrhea.
  4. Do not attend, if you are in close recent contact with someone with the above symptoms within 5 days of the event.
  5. Do not attend, if you have been exposed to someone with COVID within 5 days of the event. Make sure you test negative on day 6 (after the end of day 5) since exposure (CDC recommendation).
  6. In the 6 days before the event:
    • Only go to unmasked indoor events that require COVID testing.
    • Generally stay away from too many large events.
    • Generally stay away from events where vaccination is not required.
  7. Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer, upon entering the space.
  8. Report if you get COVID.
  9. One person who is attending CD and PTN is not vaccinated for auto-immune reasons, but agrees to all of the above and below practices.
  10. At the event, people can be without a mask. Some will choose to wear masks.

Please agree to general COVID safety when not at these events:

  1. Wear a mask and distance in public indoor spaces with people, unless you know they have tested negative in 1-3 days and are vaccinated.
  2. Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer frequently.
  3. I recommend testing 1-2 times a week. PCR tests are free (below) and your insurance will reimbruse you for Rapid tests.
  4. Have the commitment to tell people that you socialize with if you have any of the above symptoms and ask that in return.
  5. Free free to ask the people you socialize with what practices they are doing. Be willing to make changes if you or someone around you does not feel safe.
  6. Limit attendance at indoor larger group events and wear a mask and distance, if you do so.
  7. Be COVID safe when traveling or meeting with people who have traveled. Travel increases your risk and should be limited.
  8. Indoor events where people are not required to be vaccinated are inherently less safe (vaxxed people transmit less COVID than unvaxxed people). Please consider not going to these events.

Awareness, honesty, and understanding are crucial. Some do not get vaccinated if they have certain conditions. I empathize with people who cannot get vaccinated who feel excluded from events - it is difficult at times. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
